Vacuum Seamer for Irish Potato Farmer
Irish potato farming family Keogh’s have purchased a fully rebuilt Metal Box 6 vacuum seamer to close their range of hand cooked crisps in paperboard cans.
The Keogh Family have been farming the lands of North County Dublin for the past 200 years and produce a range of delicious Irish potato crisps hand cooked on the farm, and packed in 99x119mm paperboard cans which are filled bottom up and seamed with a plain tinplate end.
The Metal Box 6 vacuum seamer has been purchased to increase production speeds, and will eventually be employed to seal the cans in a Nitrogen atmosphere to retain product freshness.
Fully rebuilt and adapted for double seaming paperboard or composite cans and ends at our assembly and rebuild workshop in Worcestershire, the Metal Box 6 vacuum seamer is a traditional can closing machine design still favoured by both tinplate and paperboard can fillers worldwide, and able in it’s standard format to double seam cans in a vacuum and/or Nitrogen gas flushed environment.
